Are you a Behaviour mentor seeking a new, exciting opportunity? Empowering learning are working with an "outstanding" mainstream Secondary school in Wolverhampton who are recruiting for a passionate Behaviour mentor to join them in September on a full-time ongoing basis.

Paying up to £100 per day.

£150 Referral Bonus available

This role is starting in September and will be for the full academic year with the potential to go permanent.

Responsibilities as a Behaviour mentor

  • Work with the Class Teacher to ensure a safe positive learning environment for pupils.
  • Support 1 to 1 or in small groups with students with SEN to support them in developing positive behaviour strategies.
  • Implement behaviour management plans tailored to the individual needs of each pupil.
  • Be the approachable and understanding support for pupil, providing support and guidance to help them regulate their emotions and behaviour.
  • Work with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive environment for students.
  • Act as a positive role model for students, demonstrating empathy, patience, and always understanding.

To apply for this Behaviour mentor role, you will need:

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification
  • Experience working in schools in the UK is essential.
  • Experience supporting children in a school environment.
  • Strong behaviour management and ability to build repour with students.
  • Experience working with SEN is desirable.
  • Have previous experience working with SEND or SEMH pupils, particularly supporting behaviour management.
  • Understand behaviour management techniques and strategies.
  • Be adaptable and flexibility to work to the needs of the diverse needs of the pupils.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are desirable but not essential.
