The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will primarily work with KS2 pupils, delivering targeted intervention sessions and covering PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) classes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective intervention sessions for KS2 pupils.
  • Cover PPA classes across KS2, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Support class teachers with the preparation and delivery of lessons.
  • Monitor and assess pupils' progress, providing feedback and adjusting interventions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create a positive learning environment.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere for all students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a HLTA, preferably in a primary school setting.
  • Proven experience working with KS2 pupils.
  • Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and effective intervention strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to the school's values and ethos.
  • HLTA qualification or equivalent.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.

Desirable:

  • Experience covering PPA classes.
  • Additional qualifications or training in specific intervention programs.
