Façade, Aluminium, Windows & Doors, curtain walling & fire rated glazing systems
An Estimator with strong experienced within the external envelope sector is needed for a growing contractor within the façade industry.
The Role and Estimator:
- Producing estimates for a fabricated range of aluminium curtain walling, windows and doors systems.
- Reviewing construction drawings and specification documents.
- Developing detailed quotations, proposals and cost breakdowns.
- Liaising with clients and sub contractors to discuss any technical queries and quotations
- Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Schucal (Schuco Windows and Curtain Walling) or Reynaers.
- Other IT skills – MS Outlook, Internet Explorer, and Bluebeam.
- Basic AutoCAD.
- Prepare Bills and written offers using standard documentation.
- Attend meetings with clients/architects alongside the Commercial team.
- Obtain samples when requested by clients and senior management team.
- Obtain Thermal U-value calculations to validate product specifications.
- Obtain Thermal Safety Check calculations to validate glass specifications.
- Amend original quotations and bills in line with changed instructions from the bid team.
- When a contract is secured, prepare handover documents and compliance data with the bid team
