Subsea Services Project Controller

Role

Responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of projects and tenders. This includes building and maintaining client relationships and ensuring the timely and professional submission of quotes and bids to clients. The role ensures that projects are profitable and meet the company’s financial goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Submit accurate quotes to customers based on individual inquiries.
  • Review submitted quotations, gather customer feedback, and report the results.
  • Review awarded contracts and address any arising issues.
  • Manage projects through to completion, including raising work scopes and requisitions.
  • Communicate client priorities to relevant departments.
  • Compare completed job costs against quoted costs and analyse and report the results.
  • Collaborate, communicate, and negotiate with various internal departments during the production of quotations and throughout all stages of awarded jobs as needed.
  • Report project progress to customers.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all queries and variations.

Candidate Requirements

  • HNC/HND level education or equivalent.
  • Over 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in a similar role within a subsea fabrication/assembly environment is desirable.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to understand requirements and independently undertake tasks with the necessary support and supervision.
  • Strong planning and scheduling skills, with the ability to identify and prioritize key tasks and dependencies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a high level of self-awareness and the ability to obtain cooperation and information from colleagues.
  • Strong focus on clear and concise communication.
  • Understanding of the importance of good stakeholder and client relations, both internal and external.
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to think conceptually, creatively, and laterally, and apply engineering knowledge to real-world problems.
  • Critical thinking skills, with the ability to approach problems using a logical, systematic, and sequential method.
  • Demonstrates integrity and honesty, acting with professionalism and ethical principles.
