Civil Site Engineer

Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for a Freelance Site Engineer on behalf of a specialist civil engineering contractor to assist in delivering ongoing works in the Yorkshire area.
The contractor are a long-standing General Civils & Groundworks specialist - who are well known for delivering infrastructure packages to a variety of new build commercial / industrial sites. Strong workload in Yorkshire with further projects secured after the initial site is finished - meaning good longevity for the right Site Engineer.
The initial project is a new site & will run for 12 months. Site is near Doncaster & will involve: minor muck shift, general groundworks, drainage, roads & sewers, RC works, retaining walls & externals.
Duties as Site Engineer:
- Setting out
- Quality assurance
- As-built surveys
- Working with CAD on drawings
- Direction of sub-contractors & direct labour
- Assisting with site documentation
- Permits for work
- Liaising with Site Manager, General Foreman & Project Manager on site
Experience Required:
- Experience working as Site Engineer on civil engineering & groundworks projects - confident with setting out, QA, as-builts etc.
- Experience with using kit including: Total Station, Leica, Trimble or Topcon and AutoCAD.
- Qualifications: CSCS Card & Full UK Driving License essential
- Degree or HNC/HND qualified is preferred.
Remuneration:
On offer is a pay of up to £300 per day
(Outside IR35 or CIS)
