🏦 Our client, a leading finance company, is seeking a talented Data Protection Specialist to join their team. As the first point of contact for all data protection matters, you will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance and safeguarding organisational and customer data.

🔑 YOUR PRIORITIES:

• Develop and implement information security and data protection assurance strategies.
• Serve as the go-to subject matter expert in GDPR and provide valuable advice to controllers and processors.
• Deliver tailored training programmes on data protection and GDPR for each department within the organisation.
• Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments and maintain accurate records of data processing activities.
• Investigate and log all security breaches and Data Protection incidents, recommending appropriate remediation actions.
• Oversee the end-to-end data subject rights enablement process and ensure timely completion of DSAR requests.
• Maintain appropriate FSCS privacy notices and produce comprehensive reports.

📚 YOUR KNOWLEDGE:

• Deep knowledge of GDPR and Data Protection, ideally with a Data Protection practitioner level certification.
• IAPP and CISSM certifications are highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Information security frameworks such as ISO 27001 or NIST.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills for effective stakeholder management.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work.

👩‍🏫 YOUR EXPERIENCE:

• Proven experience in developing and embedding data privacy programmes across organisations.
• Ability to assess and categorise data protection risks.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
• Strong record-keeping and data management skills.
• Experience delivering information security, GDPR, and data protection training.

💼 This is a 6-month temporary position, offering a competitive daily rate starting from £500 Umbrella. With a hybrid working pattern (2 days in the office, 3 days remote), you can enjoy the best of both worlds. 🏢🏠
