AK Teaching is thrilled to collaborate with a primary school in North Leeds to secure a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their supportive team. This role is subject to DBS checks and referencing, as safeguarding is a top priority for us.

About the Role:

As an HLTA, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, providing valuable assistance to teachers and helping students achieve their full potential. You will also lead small group interventions and cover classes as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
• Lead small group interventions and support individual students to address specific learning needs.
• Cover classes and deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of teachers.
• Assist in assessing and monitoring student progress.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active learning.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student development.
• Contribute to the overall development and well-being of students.

Requirements:

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience working in a primary school setting.
• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and effective teaching practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
