Job Description:

Responsible for providing analytical and project support to help drive procurement strategy for existing business and new business opportunities.
Manage and maintain data for projects working with a variety of teams and stakeholders across the business to achieve the best possible results.
Providing day to day analytical support to the Procurement team alongside longer term projects/objectives.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

- Performing data analysis and modelling - providing actionable summaries and recommendations

- Develop/maintain dashboards and reports.

- Generate and profile data for new business such as; analysing historic trends, bid win rates, price movements.

- Cleansing of customer data- enabling data to be used efficiently within the business.

- Data validation and checks- ensuring quality of data is maintained.

- Pro-active identification of opportunities/risks through data analysis.

- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support decision-making.

- Stakeholder management- communicate with stakeholders across teams and work levels to manage expectations and progress multiple projects simultaneously.

- Presenting and communicating findings and recommendations clearly and effectively.

- Prioritisation and management of workload to maintain project timeframes.

- Download and distribution of system generated reports.

- Manual data entry and system maintenance.

- Cleansing of data and identification of data gaps.

- General day to day requests as driven by business requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience: 

- Can demonstrate an ability to think creatively and to deliver optimal commercial outcomes within challenging projects.

- Flexibility and initiative, ability to adapt to unfamiliar situations, learn and develop solutions.

- Commercial awareness and strong problem-solving skills.

- Excellent Excel skills- spreadsheet management, pivot tables, formulae, VBA.

- Proficiency in data manipulation tools

- Able to review systems, processes, and ways of working to identify continuous improvement opportunities.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights and recommendations.

- Project management skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business, balance multiple pieces of work simultaneously.

- Previous significant experience in a data analyst role within a commercial environment.

- Substantial knowledge and experience using Microsoft tools, Excel, Formulae, VBA in analysing data and creating reports.
