Role and Responsibilities:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of children with Special Educational Needs. Your main responsibilities will include:

- Assisting the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities to meet the individual needs of SEN students.

- Providing one-on-one support to children with SEN, helping them to engage with the curriculum and reach their educational goals.

- Developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the class teacher and SENCO.

- Supporting the emotional and social development of students, promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

- Using your strong understanding of the curriculum to adapt learning materials and resources for SEN students.

- Liaising with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure the best possible support for the children.

Requirements:

- Proven experience working with children with Special Educational Needs.

- A solid understanding of the curriculum and the ability to adapt it for SEN students.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- A patient, caring, and empathetic approach.

- A commitment to promoting inclusion and equality in education.
