Prime Objective:              To provide sales and administration support to the Sales Team Leader, Territory Account Manager and the Sales department focusing on growth and retention of existing accounts.

Hours:                                   Full Time – Office Based

Key Areas of Responsibility – The Role

  • To provide telephone support to the Sales Team.
  • To attend monthly sales meetings, providing updates and reports on sales performance,
  • To account manage and cultivate assigned customer portfolio, maintaining business relationships and increasing sales revenue to meet set annual targets within allocated sales margins.
  • To manage and maintain customer portfolio records on CRM system ensuring all records are kept current.
  • To setup and maintain bar coding requirements and labels as required.
  • To create proposals, contracts and other customer related documentation as required.
  • To identify stock issues in respect of sales order process to FM/MD.
  • To produce daily sales picking lists and delivery notes.
  • Customer visits to build and grow relationships with key members of the purchasing teams.
  • To ensure that all documentation is as per the sales processes
  • To foster close working relationships with associated departments; warehouse, sales, purchasing, administration and Senior Management Team.
  • To ensure customer requirements and expectations are met.
  • To keep abreast of competitor intelligence and impart to relevant parties within Portafix.
  • To carry out any reasonable task requested by the General Manager and SMT.
  • To ensure performance is in accordance with all standards help by the group (e.g., ISO 9001:2015 & AS9120B)

Sales Executive – The person

  • High standard of IT literacy (particularly Word and Excel), good standard of general education including literacy and numeracy.
  • Excellent telephone communication skills.
  • Proven administrative experience.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively; focusing on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Capability to follow instructions, to work under pressure and to meet deadlines whilst maintaining an exceptionally high standard of work.
  • A team player with strong interpersonal and motivational skills and able to work on own initiative.
  • Motivated and self-starter with high energy flexibility and adaptability, combined with the ability to work as a team as well as individually.
