Clearfield have partnered with a leading construction consultancy specializing in energy, Building Management Systems (BMS), lighting, and metering services. With a strong presence in Essex and London, they pride themselves on delivering innovative and efficient solutions to their clients.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Projects to join the team and lead projects to success from inception to completion.

Role Overview: As the Head of Projects, you will be the driving force behind the successful delivery of their construction projects. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project management, including design, quoting, and on-site supervision. This role requires a blend of office-based work, remote work, and regular site visits to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management: Lead and manage construction projects from initial design and quoting stages through to completion, ensuring all projects meet client expectations and company standards.
• Team Leadership: Directly line manage and mentor project staff, ensuring they are organized, motivated, and equipped to deliver exceptional results.
• Client Relations: Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and ensuring their needs are met throughout the project lifecycle.
• Design & Quoting: Oversee the design process and prepare accurate quotes for clients, ensuring all proposals are competitive and comprehensive.
• Site Supervision: Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve any issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
• Hybrid Working: Initially office-based to establish team management, with a transition to a hybrid model of office, home, and site-based work.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a project management role within the construction industry, ideally with a focus on energy, BMS, lighting, and metering services.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
• Proficient in project management software and tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to various sites across Essex and London.
