Sheet Metal Worker / Welder

Due to a consistent and expanding workload we need to strengthen and expand our shop floor with the addition of a conscientious skilled sheet metal fabricator / Welder. Fabricating sheet metal air separation & filtration equipment, enclosures, and hoppers.

Knowledge and practical experience in the following is required:

  • MIG welding
  • Folders
  • Press-brake machinery
  • Rolling Machines
  • Hand Tools
  • Ability to Reading Fabrication drawings is also key in ensuring that the quality is maintained.
  • Time Served Sheet Metal Worker
  • Fine tolerance sheet metal experience would be a distinct advantage

Fabricator Welder Responsibilities:

  • The Fitting and welding of components to customer specification, ensuring Health and Safety obligations are met at all times
  • General production duties working within the staff training matrix
  • Ensuring any product tolerance issues found when in production are brought to the attention of the shop floor supervisor at the earliest opportunity
  • Ensuring a clean, tidy, and efficient working area
  • Reporting any Health and Safety issues to the shop floor representative, or in his absence to a manager
  • Undertake any other reasonable task required by the company

Working Hours 39 Hrs a week

Mon - Thurs: 7:20 - 16:30

Friday: 7:20 - 11:40

Other Requirements:

  • Excellent Time Keeping
  • Overtime when needed
  • Good dexterity
  • Basic English and maths skills
  • Ability to work with others as part of a team
  • Good concentration and attention to detail
