WSR are looking for a Specification Sales Manager to join the team of our Client who specialize in electrical heating and cooling systems.

Location: Central UK

Reports To: Director of Sales

 Job Overview:

Are you an experienced sales professional with a technical background in electrical products? Our Client is seeking a dynamic Specification Sales Manager to drive sales growth and promote their innovative heating solutions to key decision-makers within the construction, engineering, and design industries. Join their team and play a pivotal role in specifying their products in high-profile projects and bids.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market share within the UK.
  • Identify and engage with potential clients, including architects, engineers, contractors, developers and other stakeholders.
  • Present and promote the company’s electrical heating & cooling products to ensure product specifications are included in project designs.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Understand client needs to tailor solutions and provide superior service.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups and provide technical support to ensure client satisfaction and ongoing business.

Market Analysis and Development:

  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and trends within the electrical heating industry.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market conditions to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and promote the company’s products.

Technical Expertise:

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company’s electrical product portfolio and industry standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to clients on product applications and benefits.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to provide market feedback and influence product innovation.

Reporting and Administration:

  • Prepare regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and forecasts.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and transactions in the CRM system.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products and resolve any issues.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, preferably within the electrical or construction industry. Proven track record of successful specification sales and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Strong technical knowledge of electrical products and their applications.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients and stakeholders.
    • Self-motivated, with strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certifications: Relevant industry certifications or memberships are a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent travel within the UK to visit clients and attend industry events.
  • Combination of office work and fieldwork, including site visits and meetings with clients.
