Applications are invited for the position of a suitably qualified Quantity Surveyor to fill an interesting opportunity within the New Build Housing Team.
The New Build Housing Team is a multi-disciplinary unit, incorporating a range of services such as architectural, quantity surveying, and site inspectorate.
You will provide a full professional quantity surveying service covering all aspects of the traditional quantity surveying role, including appraisals, procurement and contract management activities on a variety of projects, supporting the delivery of a substantial capital programme.
You will be qualified to degree level, be a full member of the RICS with relevant post-qualification quantity surveying, building contract experience, and have a detailed working knowledge of current methods of measurement and industry standard forms of contract.
Experience of Masterbill software, QSCad software and a knowledge of public sector procurement and associated regulations would be a distinct advantage.
You will assist with the supervision of professional and technical staff for the successful delivery of the various projects.
Falkirk Council operates a hybrid working opportunity for working between an office base, home and site as required, and this post would be included in this scheme.
