The role as a senior support worker is a rewarding and important one; it can be challenging at times therefore patience, compassion and empathy are paramount. It is important to reflect and re-set acknowledging those occasions you made a positive person to a person’s life.
The role of Senior Support Worker
- Creative approach to rota management and leadership
- Mentor and role model the core values of 1stEnables values and ethos’s
- Pro-actively and professionally managing complaints
- Auditing and administering medication
- Attending professional meetings both internally and in a multi-agency team
- Instilling and delivering person centred models and approaches
- Management of any incidents
- On call advice & support on a rota basis
- Supporting the service manager in the effective management of services
A level 3 or above in health and social care would be desirable however we can support you in achieving this within your new role.

What are we looking for:
- People that are passionate about making a difference.

- Self-motivated, empathetic, dynamic, and creative with management experience within the care sector
- Experience in the Care Sector preferred
- Driver is essential do to location of service (Christleton)
Service:
This service is based in Christleton, Chester. Supporting 5 ladies with learning disability/autism who all have 1-1 or 2-1 support. Driving is essential due to location and needs of the service (be able to drive the supported persons vehicle).
Training
We provide a wide range of free training bespoke to the service and individuals we support, which we regularly update to reflect current sector wide policy and best practice. Our training services are designed to offer advice and guidance in a range of areas to services that support people with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health diagnoses.
