The role of Service Manager
- Supporting the day-to-day operation of a responsive and quality service.
- Innovative rota planning and effective, efficient running of the service e.g. through staff rotas
- Developing and implementing Person Centred Delivery Plans
- Assisting the Registered Manager in the running of the service to ensure that all shared responsibilities are fulfilled, and systems maintained.
- Provides effective management, advice and guidance to the Senior Support Workers and Support Workers.
- Supervision and day to day management of the Team to deliver high-quality, person-centred support.
- Supervise the induction and training for all the team, ensuring regular supervision and appraisal.
- Assist staff to develop their skills and the service by coaching and mentoring the workforce ensuring a highly skilled, trained and motivated staff team.
- Communicate effectively and in the best interests of the supported person (case conference, reviews, meetings, discussions with person & families, inter agency, staff and via supervision)
- Ensure effective multi agency working as well as communicating in house and externally.
- Actively promoting the Service through the local Communities through working and attending local school parent forums, supporting the local college events and Community events can attend.
- Networking within the community and with local businesses to create opportunities for the people we support.
A level 5 in Health & Social Care would be desirable or working towards it. The Role of the Service Manager is to oversee, manage and generate meaningful outcomes for those we support. It is essential to be flexible with your working ethos given the role will require you to partly oversee various enterprises within the programme.

Hours: Full time 37.5 hours – Plus on rotational call (approx. 1 in 4 weeks)
Rate: £28,539.00 per annum

What are we looking for:
- People that are passionate about making a difference.
- You must be kind, compassionate and enthusiastic about delivering the best opportunities and support for the people we work with.
- Self-motivated, empathetic, dynamic, and creative with management experience within the care sector
- Experience in the Care Sector and previous managerial experience preferred
Training
We provide a wide range of free training bespoke to the service and individuals we support, which we regularly update to reflect current sector wide policy and best practice. Our training services are designed to offer advice and guidance in a range of areas to services that support people with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health diagnoses.
Service
The property is a cluster flat model consisting of 11 flats. A staff kitchen and communal resting area is used by the people we, with on-site parking and rear garden.
The cluster flat setting supports ladies and gentlemen from the age 20-60, with learning disabilities and complex mental health diagnoses.
