Ecologist

Coleman James Ltd are working with our client in search of an Ecologist to work on a permanent, full time basis.
The successful candidate will have the following;
- Possess at least two species licenses.
- Be able to demonstrate experience in fieldwork, including habitat and bat surveys.
- A solid track record in office based consultancy tasks such as reporting and mapping.
- Level 1 Class License for bat surveys, with other survey licences welcomed.
- Strong botanical identification skills.
- Experience in Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) Assessments and using the UKHab classification.
- Capability to conduct regular fieldwork.
Preferred qualifications:
- Membership of CIEEM.
- Level 2 class license for bat surveys.
- Licenses for other protected species surveys.
- Experience in EPS Mitigation Licensing.
- Proficiency in GIS mapping.
- Understanding of relevant protected species planning policies, including the NPPF and local plans, in relationship to development.
