First Achieve's Engineering Division are seeking a 3D CAD Technician for their client based in Derby who specialise in structures in residential and commercial projects.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for modelling structural steelwork / portal frame schemes. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one years' experience as a 3D CAD Technician, preferably with knowledge of structural steel, and will ensure projects are adequately modelled within an effective timeframe to support the delivery of projects.
The Role:
- Understand the client's enquiry documentation to fully ascertain the requirements of the tender to ensure the bid submissions are compliant.
- Have the ability to read and understand structural engineers' and architects' general arrangement drawings, design reports & specifications.
- Able to use Tekla Structures.
- Produce bid information including material quantity lists, 3D Views, PDF Models and piece counts.
Experience:
- Minimum one years' experience working with Tekla Structures.
- Ability to work within allocated time scales to meet the requirements of our clients.
- Work well within a team to achieve targets set by the Bid Manager.
