- Job title: Railway Telecoms Design Engineer (Station Information and Surveillance Systems)- We would prefer Telecoms SISS CRE.
- Type: Contract- Outside IR35 subject to SDS- ongoing design works for up next 18 months currently. Hybrid Working role- 2 Days in London office (Farringdon) 3 days WFH.
- Rate £350-450 Subject to experience
- Location: London- South East
- Summary- An opportunity has become available for a highly skilled and motivated Telecoms Design Engineer specialising in Station Information and Surveillance Systems (SISS). As a Telecoms Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of advanced telecommunications systems, with a focus on SISS solutions for key transportation and infrastructure projects.
- Key responsibilities:
- Produce Telecoms SISS transmission and network designs in accordance with requirements.
- Attendance at meetings with clients, senior management, sub-contractors and internal project teams.
- To ensure delegated areas of the contract are completed to meet legislation and relevant standards.
- Liaise with telecoms technicians and design, install and test staff, and additional collaboration with signalling design and installation teams.
- Essential requirements:
- Significant experience in designing Telecoms SISS Stations.
- Rail Telecoms design experience- preferred as a CRE.
- Proficiency in SISS technologies, CCTV systems, PHP, CIS and PAVA, networking protocols and telecommunications infrastructure.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
