Role: Mechanical Quantity Surveyor

Location: Cork/Denmark

This role is perfect for someone with a passion for travel, as it will start in Cork and then move to Denmark for 12 months. Responsibilities

• Involvement in all phases of the project, including tender documentation, cost management, contractor performance assessment, and procurement.
• Administer Sub-Contract orders from award to final account
• Identify, Analyse and report on trends within the Business & Projects
• Attend and provide input to relevant customer/client commercial meetings
• Ensure compliance with Contract Programme /Schedule and provide weekly reports to construction team on planned versus actual progress
• Review all incoming correspondence from Employers, Design Team, and /or subcontractor to identify Contractually critical items and to initiate replies.
• Create a procurement schedule for the project
• Conduct periodic review of works to identify appropriate cost saving measures

Requirements

• Relevant Degree
• 2 years’+ experience working as a Mechanical QS on Pharma projects
• Previous relevant experience working in Ireland or the UK an advantage
• Good communication skills and proven record in taking Tenders from Pricing through to final client award Key Skills
• Microsoft Excel
• Time Management
• Communication
• Proficient with Piping Measures and Isometrics / P&ID’s
• Ability to work in a team environment but also able to work independently to close out Final Accounts
