Our client, a leading organisation renowned for their commitment to employee welfare and pension management, is seeking a dedicated Pensions Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic environment and contribute to a variety of key projects and initiatives.

Role Overview:

As a Pensions Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Group Pensions team, focusing on both Defined Benefit (DB) and Defined Contribution (DC) schemes. Your primary responsibilities will include leading regular projects, supporting senior colleagues, and managing ad-hoc initiatives related to pension changes and communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead and support various regular and ad-hoc pension projects, including internal presentations and change projects.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with key stakeholders, such as Trustees, Pensions administration team, in-house investment managers, and external advisors.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to in-house administration and communication teams.
  • Legislative Compliance: Stay updated with current and emerging pensions legislation and assist the team in adapting to these changes.
  • Budget Management: Oversee team and trustee budgets and manage external consultancy fees.
  • Meeting Preparation: Prepare materials for Trustee meetings, take minutes, and manage risk registers and action logs.

Skills and Experience:

  • Numeracy and Analytical Skills: Strong ability to understand and explain complex information in simple terms.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Project Management: Proven experience in managing multiple projects efficiently.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Experience in managing relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Pensions Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of pensions legislation and the ability to prepare and present clear materials to stakeholders.
