IMH Recruitment are looking for a Fleet Workshop Assistant for our client in Conwy.

The suitable candidate will be responsible for the upkeep cleanliness of both the Worksop and the vehicles that arrive in the Workshop. The suitable candidate will also be responsible for the upkeep of the store areas.

Responsibilities:

• Undertake general duties and maintenance duties as directed.
• Provide support to the authorities’ drivers in checking and maintaining authority vehicles.
• To ensure the workshop equipment i.e. Ladders, gas bottles, compressor equipment, air equipment, workshop tools, workshop chemicals and pressure washer are maintained and stored correctly.
• To wash down all vehicles for service/inspection, using a variety of methods, prior to being presented in to the workshop and to ensure that the vehicle wash bay is kept clean.
• Ensure the yard and plant-shop and workshop areas are kept clean and tidy.
• Assist workshop and plant-shop technicians (under guidance) in a variety of tasks.
• Deliver/collect vehicles parts and vehicles (cars, vans, HGV’s and trailers/machinery) as and when requested.
• To look after and maintain internal stock within the workshop.

Requirements:

• Basic literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
• Full EU driving licence (category C) and LGV licence.
• Up to date Valid Driver CPC Card.
• Experience of manual work and safe manual handling procedures.
• Understanding of safe working procedures and health and safety legislation relating to waste collection.
• Experience of working in fleet depot.
• The ability to communicate in English is essential.
• The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable.
• Lead by example with a positive behaviour and a flexible approach to work e.g. working outside of normal working hours to meet the service demands when required, such as during vehicle breakdowns etc.

Hours & Pay:

• Monday - Friday (May need to work outside working hours on occasion).
• 37 Hours a week.
• £12.38 Per Hour.
