Data Officer x 2

Salary: From £30,000 per annum negotiable depending on experience, plus great benefits of 31 days holiday, pension, budget for learning, £250 towards home office plus more.
Contract: Fixed term contract until March 2025
Location: Hybrid - flexibility to work from home or main hubs (London, Bristol, Manchester and Harwell)

My client are not-for-profit data and tech organisation with big plans to improve lives through education by providing hardware, software and networking solutions within the education sector.

The role:
This role will be based within the UK Data Service team which is part of the content and discovery area within the digital resources directorate.

In this role you will be responsible for taking large and complex datasets and preparing them for ingest into UK Data Service platforms in accordance with agreed quality standards for data and metadata.

Responsibilities will include:
Developing a solid understanding of the complex structures of data and international microdata and Implementing timely processing and delivery through sub-setting platform of outputs and ensuring that data processing processes adhere to best practice and are robust, extensible and standards compliant.

Key Skills and Experience:
Some experience of working with relational databases, including PostgresSQL or SQL Server and experience of working with large datasets with a complex structure, with a good understanding of Python, and methods for data processing desirable
