Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated Technical Support Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will configure, stage, and support IT solutions for installation at customer sites. Additionally, you will handle repairs of both hardware and software components returned from sites. Comprehensive training will be provided for our bespoke technical products.

This is a fully office-based role in Sale, requiring some manual lifting of heavy hardware. The standard work pattern is Monday-Friday, 9am to 5:30pm, with a holiday allowance of 25 days.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and test various IT hardware, including tablets, laptops, customer order displays, kiosks, tills, switches, routers, and servers.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics.
  • Optimize builds, implement solutions, and document technical processes.
  • Manage personal tasks and perform quality control checks.
  • Ensure timely dispatch of configured equipment for logistics.
  • Adhere to health and safety requirements.
  • Manage a portfolio of client solutions.
  • Provide internal support for our products as needed.
  • Address issues promptly and escalate when necessary.
  • Maintain high-quality standards while managing multiple client solutions.
  • Occasionally perform on-site installations and configurations of EPOS equipment.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 5+ years in the IT (or EPOS) sector with extensive experience in networking, hardware, and software deployments.
  • Proficiency in configuring networks, servers, switches, and computer hardware.
  • Experience with Virtual Machines/VMware, including Microsoft Hyper-V.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Operating systems (Windows Desktop and Server) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to maintain high concentration during repetitive tasks.
  • Experience with EPoS systems is advantageous.
  • Basic electronics knowledge.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and self-motivation.
  • Previous experience with QSR/Retail solutions and Break fix.
  • Capability of lifting heavy loads.
  • Experience in system deployment using documented procedures.
  • Strong customer service ethic and organizational skills.
  • Ability to coordinate time-critical activities and handle routine tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Calm under pressure with the ability to reprioritize tasks.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with self-service kiosks or similar digital solutions.
  • Familiarity with POS/EPOS systems.
  • Experience in a start-up or evolving technology business.
  • Ability to work independently.
