We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SENCO to join a school in Essex. This is a permanent, full-time position paid through the leadership scale (teacher pay scale).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing the SEN provision and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements
  • Coordinating and supporting the identification and assessment of students with special educational needs
  • Developing and implementing individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students with SEN
  • Providing training and guidance to staff on SEN strategies and best practices
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • National Award for SEN Coordination or willingness to complete it
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies
