The Position   SARIA’s UK operations have a market-leading presence in a wide range of sectors associated with the food chain. The Group’s companies manufacture quality products for use in human and animal foodstuffs, agriculture, aquaculture, and industrial applications. The company also produces biofuels and renewable energy and provides services for farming and the food industry. The company has a UK annual turnover approaching £280 million and employs around 1,000 people at 19 sites across the country.

Applications are invited for a Despatch Operative based at our Nottingham Site. This is a full-time permanent position, working 48 hours per week, 6am-4pm Monday to Thursday, 6am-2pm Friday.

As a Despatch Operative, your duties and responsibilities will vary on the Company’s requirements, but will include:

• Loading of product into the appropriate vehicles.
• Preparing and bagging products ready for despatching.
• Ensuring products are being despatched to the highest standard and taking samples before distributed,
• Completed paperwork and general housekeeping as required.
• Any other ad hoc duties as required by Management.

Requirements

• Must be able to prioritise the workload.
• Have excellent communication skills.
• Have a good level of literacy and numeracy.
• Be flexible with working hours.
• Be able to work in a small team, and also on your own.
• Previous experience within a similar role would be advantageous although training will be provided where necessary.
