We are a small wrought iron company in Fareham, Hampshire, and require a new member of our team, working on a self-employed basis, to fabricate bespoke wrought iron gates, railings, handrails, and balustrades and go out on-site to customer's properties and install them.
The candidate will need to have at least 5 years of welding and fabrication experience and ideally, experience in fitting railings to brickwork, cementing gate posts in the ground and hanging gates to walls, though training will be provided.
Your time will be spent part in the workshop and part at customer's homes fitting on your own or with another team member. A full driver's license is required and you will need to be physically fit and polite when speaking to customers.
Welder / Fitter Skills required:
- MIG/MAG welding
- Drilling
- Grinding
- Cutting
- Bending and rolling
- Use of hand tools
- Competent in reading drawings
- An eye for detail and take pride in your work
A relaxed environment with tea and coffee provided, parking, and a supermarket opposite.
You will be required to undertake a welding and grinding test at the interview.
38 hours per week. Self-employed.
