Job Title: Registered Manager

The property is a 26-bedroom care home, currently rated “Good” by the CQC. Nestled in its own grounds and surrounded by beautiful gardens, it offers a warm and homely atmosphere. Role: Registered Care Home Manager

  • Salary: £40,000
  • Occupancy Bonus: Up to £4,000 per year

Responsibilities:

As a Care Home Manager, you will lead the home and its existing team of dedicated, long-serving, and enthusiastic employees to deliver outstanding levels of care to our residents. You will:

  • Manage the business and ensure the home operates effectively and delivers the highest quality care.
  • Act as an ambassador, representing the heart and face of the home to key decision-makers, building a strong reputation within the local community, and working towards excellence.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with the Registration Authority, comply with legal and statutory requirements, and represent the Home as the Registered Manager.
  • Review staff skills and knowledge, ensuring high-quality care through training, supervisions, and appraisals.
  • Be involved in care planning for residents.
  • Foster an open and honest culture where all staff have the opportunity to thrive.
  • Maximize the financial performance of the home.
  • Handle stock purchases and budgetary control of all consumable items required for daily operations.

Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in the healthcare sector, ideally as a Registered Manager with a Level 5 qualification (or RMA), or as a motivated Deputy Manager ready for the next step in your career. Financial support is available for those needing to complete their Level 5.
