Mechanical Fitter / Workshop Engineer / Workshop Supervisor required to join a leading electromechanical engineering supplier near Bradford.

The Successful Mechanical Fitter / Workshop Engineer / Workshop Supervisor will provide fitting, stripping, and rebuilding of motors, gearboxes, pumps and similar at the workshop in Bradford.

The Mechanical Fitter / Workshop Engineer / Pump Engineer will have a good electromechanical engineering background such as motors, gearboxes, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, sensors, drives, generators, valves or similar electromechanical engineering products / systems.

Mechanical Fitter / Workshop Engineer / Workshop Supervisor role:
  • Will provide fitting, stripping, and rebuilding of motors, gearboxes, pumps and similar at the workshop in Bradford
  • Ensuring all components are correctly fitted and operational before delivery.
  • Conduct quality control checks and testing and rewiring of electric motor systems to verify performance standards and compliance with safety standards
  • Ability to complete technical documentation as work is progresses.
  • To perform other duties as assigned from time to time and liaise with various engineering departments.
 

Mechanical Fitter / Workshop Engineer / Workshop Supervisor Requirements:
  • Experience as a service engineer, gearbox engineer, gearbox fitter, fitter, hydraulic fitter, hydraulic engineer, valve technician, installation engineer, mechanical fitter, electromechanical fitter, mechanical engineer, service engineer, electrical engineer, workshop engineer, service technician or similar.
  • Good electromechanical engineering background such as wiring, circuitry, valves, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, compressors, generators, or similar electromechanical engineering products or systems.
  • Must be able to rewire motors and electric motors.
  • Will ideally have the experience and ability to conduct testing and control checks on electromechanical machinery.
  • An engineering qualification, Apprentice trained, HNC, HND or Degree would be advantageous would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to commute to the workshop in Bradford
