Assistant Quantity Surveyor

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join a dynamic and successful construction and development company operating across the UK. We are currently seeking an ambitious and motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our client's growing commercial team in Yorkshire, assisting in the commercial management of high rise residential projects. 

The Role

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for assisting our senior surveyors in preparing cost estimates, managing project budgets, and ensuring that all construction projects are completed within budget and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting senior surveyors in preparing cost estimates and budgets for construction      projects

• Preparing monthly cost reports and cash flow forecasts

• Assisting in the procurement process, including the preparation of tender documents    and contract administration

• Conducting site visits and measurements to assist in valuing work completed

• Assisting in the resolution of disputes with contractors and sub-contractors

Qualifications and Skills:

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field

• Experience working in a Quantity Surveying role within the construction industry

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry-specific software
