We are a very successful group that encompasses all aspects of the meat trade, and we are recruiting butchers to join our team at our site in Irlam, Manchester, on nights.

Our business, which is a catering butcher, has over 100 years of experience in the meat and farming industries. All products are prepared in the factory daily to each customer's specifications, packaged and labelled to and above legislation and then delivered directly throughout the UK.

The main responsibilities of this butcher role are to use knife skills to produce both primal and portion butchery cuts for beef, pork, lamb, and poultry.

Working hours are Monday to Friday nights, 19.00 - 05.00 or 18.00 - 04.00, with additional flexibility where required.

You will be a trained and experienced butcher with:

• Good knife skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and to embrace change
• Commercial awareness and the understanding of yields and costs

• Experience of working in a factory would be advantageous but not essential.
• Previous experience of working with all meat proteins is desirable.
• You should be able to work individually and as part of a team in a very busy environment.
• You need to be able to work to tight deadlines.

Our business supplies to customers including hotels, restaurants, public houses, the education sector, outdoor events and food manufacturers. We also provide national distribution via our own fleet and transport partners.
