Pertemps Scotland are currently recruiting for Recycling Operatives for our public sector client to support a busy waste and cleansing department
Location - Craigmillar OR Leith
Rate of pay - £12.59 per hour rising to £13.69 as of week 13
Shift Pattern - 4 days on 4 days off
Hours of Work - Mon-Fri 07.30-19.00, Sat & Sun 07.30 - 18.00 with 60min break
Duration - Temporary Ongoing
*Please note this role is not emptying bins with the bin lorry*
Duties will include:
Successful candidates will:
All PPE will be provided. You will be required to work in all weathers on your feet. Heavy lifting may be included.

- Providing advice on where to deposit waste items
- General labouring duties
- Helping customers depositing their waste
- Dealing with members of the public in a calm manner including in potentially difficult situations
- Operating the weighbridge
- Taking phone calls
Successful candidates will:
- Be honest, trustworthy and punctual
- Have basic IT knowledge
- Will be given required training
- Have good customer service
- Have the ability to work with others
- Be health and safety conscious
