Role: Youth Justice Operation Manager 

Authority: Bolton Council

Bolton Complex Safeguarding Team are co located with GM Police and work directly with young people whose assessed level of need is at Child In Need and Child Protection – sec 47.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate or have experience of the following

• Manage a multi-agency team of staff and develop and deliver high quality services aimed at preventing offending by young people
• Support children at risk of/ or being exploited.
• An understanding of Youth Justice Service and complex safeguarding.
• Support staff who manage caseloads

Candidates will be required to be office based (BL1 1QY) 5 days per week initially and once their induction is complete, consideration can consider a WFH day per week. Due to the nature of the service it’s a flexible working post which will include evening work and may include weekends too.

Experience and Qualifications

Must have minimum of 3 years’ experience in Children’s Social Care and / or Youth Justice

Professional qualification to degree level in Social Work such as DipSW, MASW or equivalent in one of the five partner agencies i.e. social care, probation, police, education or Health.
