Future Build Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Freelance Site Manager to join a leading Tier 1 civil engineering contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects.

Role Overview: As a Freelance Site Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the water treatment project in Hampshire. You’ll collaborate with a dynamic team, ensuring the successful execution of the project while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership:
  • Lead and manage on-site activities related to water treatment facilities.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Quality Assurance:
  • Monitor construction progress and quality of work.
  • Conduct regular inspections and address any issues promptly.
  • Implement corrective actions as needed.
• Budget and Cost Control:
  • Assist in cost tracking, budget management, and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to optimise project costs.
  • Review and approve subcontractor payments.
• Schedule Adherence:
  • Develop and maintain project schedules.
  • Monitor progress against milestones and deadlines.
  • Mitigate delays and adjust plans as necessary.
• Communication:
  • Liaise with project stakeholders, including engineers, designers, and clients.
  • Provide regular updates on project status and address inquiries.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within civil engineering projects.
• Familiarity with water treatment facilities or related infrastructure.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant certifications (CITB, SMSTS, etc.) preferred.

Requirements:

• Availability for freelance work in Hampshire.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
