Location: Warrington

Working Hours: Mon – Thur 8:00-17:00; Friday, 8:00-16:30

Holidays: 25 days + Public Holidays

Salary: Competitive package base.

Are you an experienced Mechanical Estimator or Electrical Estimator looking for a new opportunity? We are seeking a skilled individual to join our dynamic team as a mechanical Electrical Project Estimator. This is a key role within our organization, responsible for accurately pricing and estimating mechanical projects across commercial, educational, and industrial sectors. What you’ll be doing:

• Analysis of project specifications, drawings, and related documents to determine the scope of electrical works.
• Preparing in depth and competitive bids whilst working with project management and engineering teams.
• Monitoring and managing project costs throughout the estimation process, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.
• Working closely with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes and negotiate the best terms possible.
• Identifying and assessing risks associated with electrical projects, proposing mitigation strategies as and when needed.
• Engaging with clients to understand their requirements, provide clarification on estimates, and build strong relationships.
• Staying up to date on industry trends, material costs, and construction methodologies to enhance the accuracy of estimations.
• Analysing company data, exchange rates, and prices using software packages to prepare and submit accurate quotations for work.
• Assist with bids for new contracts and support buying activities.
• Monitor project stages to ensure costs are kept in line with forecasts.

What we need:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience relevant estimating work in a commercial setting.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• A “hunter” mentality that is keen to win bids and tenders.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments at pace.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge base.
