Volantes Technical Recruitment are seeking a Components workshop manager for a leading MRO in the South coast.

You will be working for one of the leading names in business aviation maintenance and with this role have the scope to develop your own deparment as well as utilise your contacts to assist with new business wins. 

You will be responsible and accountable for the daily management, productivity, and growth of the MRO’s component repair and overhaul shops. This position will drive the teams assigned, ensuring the delivery of the highest levels of productivity and customer interface across all platforms.
You will be a result’s driven leader with previous experience in Aviation component repair/overhaul, and proven skills in team management and high levels of competence in customer engagement and workshop control.

 Skills, Qualifications and Experience required:

Essential

• 5 years’ experience in an Aircraft Component Overhaul environment, or Part 145 Base Maintenance.
• Ability to lead and line manage a team of skilled repair personnel and support them fully as required to achieve the objectives.
• Ability to react to demand changes and manage the team accordingly.
• Manage multiple component overhaul locations
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
•  Ability to read and interpret all required. maintenance and regulatory docs.
•  Must demonstrate expertise in operating all tools, test equipment and/or material handling equipment relevant to the area or responsibility.
• Must be able to operate specialised tooling.
• Good understanding of the concepts and requirements of SMS, Quality Assurance and Audits.
• UK Driving Licens

Advantageous

• Holder of an ICAO Type II recognized aircraft engineers license
• Demonstrated experience in an aviation related management role
• Well networked with some experience in business development
