Autism Teaching Assistant - L9 area

We are recruiting for a Autism Teaching Assistant for a community School in L9 area of Liverpool o work on a long-term basis starting September!

Your role & responsibilities as an Autism Teaching Assistant:

* Promote inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
* Contribute to developing a creative curriculum where creative learning opportunities are available for all pupils
* Support pupils in small groups and on a one to one basis whilst responding to their individual needs
* Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/work plans as appropriate

Non-negotiables as an Autism Teaching Assistant:

* Must have recent and relevant experience in working with children and young people
* Must have worked with young people with Autism
* Must have experience working with individuals with SEN
* Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
* Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the classroom teacher and as part of a wider team
* Relevant Level 2 or above Teaching Assistant Qualifications or relevant experience
