My client is looking for a talented HRA Project Accountant to join them in a Council in Sussex.
You'll only need to pop into the office once a week, giving you plenty of flexibility.
About the Role:
As their new HRA Accountant, you'll dive into the nitty-gritty of financial management, focusing on the Housing Revenue Account (HRA) and capital finance. Here’s what you'll be diving into:
- Financial Management: Take the reins on overseeing 153 Capital and Revenue budgets within a Local Authority.
- HRA & General Fund: Manage and optimize the Housing Revenue Account and General Fund, ensuring everything runs like clockwork.
- Strategic Insight: Conduct reviews to maximize housing stock profitability and align capital spending with local authority goals.
- Financial Wiz: Handle all the essentials - from journals and accruals to financial reports that guide our senior leadership team.
What They're Looking For:
Ideally, someone who's navigated HRA and General Fund management within Local Authorities. Experience with Medium Term Financial Strategy (MTFS) would be a bonus, as you’ll play a key role in shaping their financial future.
