Now Education are working in partnership with a mainstream catholic secondary school in Rochdale who require a PE teacher to teach girls PE on a full time and long term basis from September onwards.

The dedicated SLT are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Female PE Teacher to join our passionate team of educators.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic Female PE Teacher who is committed to promoting physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle among our students. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging PE lessons that cater to students of all abilities, ensuring a safe and positive environment for physical activity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive PE lessons for KS3 and 4 including GCSE.
  • Conduct physical education classes that include a variety of sports, fitness activities, and wellness programs.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive environment that encourages all students to participate and reach their full potential.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Organize and oversee extracurricular sports activities, including inter-school competitions and sports events.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to integrate physical education with other aspects of the school curriculum.
  • Promote the importance of physical health and well-being within the school community.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during PE classes and activities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
  • Teaching qualification in Physical Education.
  • Previous teaching experience, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of a variety of sports and fitness activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to develop a love for physical activity.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest trends in physical education.
