Accounts Payable Assistant

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an Accounts Payable Administrator to join Denbighshire County Council’s Accounts Payable Team on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Key Duties:
- Managing the accounts payable inbox, including investigation and resolution of all accounts payable queries
- Ensuring prompt payment of outstanding amounts
- Sending remittances
- Monthly reconciliation of the finance system
- Setting up new supplier accounts on the finance system
- Ensuring correct VAT rates are applied
- Liaising with internal and external customers regarding accounts
Requirements:
- Previous experience of working in Accounts or Finance
- Experience of using financial systems in relation to accounts payable functions
- Excellent customer service skills
