Job Description:

As a Service Advisor, you will be the liaison between our customers and our service technicians. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service experience. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting customers and assessing their service needs
  • Providing detailed explanations of services and repairs
  • Preparing accurate cost estimates and timelines
  • Coordinating with service technicians to ensure timely and efficient repairs
  • Maintaining regular communication with customers regarding the status of their vehicles
  • Managing and updating customer records
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns or questions

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome customers to the dealership and listen to their concerns regarding their vehicles
  • Accurately document vehicle issues and service requests
  • Provide customers with detailed information on necessary repairs and maintenance
  • Prepare service estimates and obtain customer approval for work
  • Schedule service appointments and coordinate with service technicians
  • Follow up with customers to ensure their satisfaction and handle any complaints
  • Maintain customer records and service history
  • Stay informed about new products, features, and service techniques

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certifications are a plus
  • Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar customer service role, preferably in an automotive setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in using dealership management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Knowledge of automotive technology and repair processes is preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations
