Job Description:
As a Service Advisor, you will be the liaison between our customers and our service technicians. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service experience. Your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting customers and assessing their service needs
- Providing detailed explanations of services and repairs
- Preparing accurate cost estimates and timelines
- Coordinating with service technicians to ensure timely and efficient repairs
- Maintaining regular communication with customers regarding the status of their vehicles
- Managing and updating customer records
- Ensuring customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns or questions
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome customers to the dealership and listen to their concerns regarding their vehicles
- Accurately document vehicle issues and service requests
- Provide customers with detailed information on necessary repairs and maintenance
- Prepare service estimates and obtain customer approval for work
- Schedule service appointments and coordinate with service technicians
- Follow up with customers to ensure their satisfaction and handle any complaints
- Maintain customer records and service history
- Stay informed about new products, features, and service techniques
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certifications are a plus
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar customer service role, preferably in an automotive setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in using dealership management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of automotive technology and repair processes is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations
