Construction Industry preferred but not essential

The Role

In this role you will be a member of the three-person team that is responsible for all the group's financial reporting.

We are looking for someone to work closely with the Financial Controller & Finance Manager to deliver together the subsidiary and consolidated monthly management accounts, annual financial statements, tax, and other returns in an accurate and timely manner.

The role will include the following:

Preparation of subsidiary company management accounts
Treasury management including cash flow forecasts and bank reconciliations
Overhead reporting & variance analysis
Application of financial controls including balance sheet reconciliations
Preparation of subsidiary company annual financial statements
Completion of group VAT Return
Preparation of the Overhead Budget and Forecast
However, the role will not be restricted to the above and new opportunities will be available just as soon as the successful candidate demonstrates their capabilities.

The ideal candidate:

Is a professional accountant with a minimum of 3 years' experience who is looking for an opportunity to grow in a new role
Can deliver timely and accurate financial information
Enjoys working as part of a small team to achieve goals and create success
Performs to high standards
Recognises that we're here to provide a service to our customers
Is able to challenge the status quo and make improvements
Has advanced Excel skills covering spreadsheet design, data management & graphs and is competent using Word
Ideally you will have previous experience of working in construction or exposure to accounting in a project based environment
Ideally has previous experience of using COINS software
Qualifications

Part-qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA)
