White Label recruitment are delighted to support a key client in their hunt for a CAD Technician. Our Liverpool based client design and manufacture on site and specialise in providing sheet metal fabrication services to a vast range of industrial sectors.

Due to business growth and contract orders multiplying rapidly, they have a need to expand their team of skilled and experienced CAD Technicians. This means the opportunity to grow and develop is limitless.

Company: This family-run business has a friendly and supportive environment and supply into a variety of sectors such as Nuclear, Oil and Gas, Construction, Pharmaceutical, Marine, Food, Medical and more.

Role: This role is varied and projects can be seen through from design to production. You will have the opportunity to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Each product is bespoke and is designed from concept through to manufacture so managing the full life cycle, liaising with the shop floor and customers would be required together with the support of the Lead CAD designer and the Engineering Manager.

It is essential that you have sheet metal design and manufacturing experience, along with the ability to use SolidWorks. Additionally, experience working with CNC machines (such as laser cutters, milling, and punching) would be advantageous.

Day to day:

• Oversee each project from start to finish, ensuring timely and efficient handling of both new and existing projects.
• Interpret customer orders, produce detailed drawing packs, verify requirements, address technical questions, and obtain model approvals.
• Create part profiles using software, output files for CAM post-processing, conduct quality checks, and provide shopfloor support.
• Provide feedback to management, perform remedial work, maintain a clean work area, wear PPE, participate in training, and adhere to safety protocols.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in design within a similar industry or sheet metal fabrication engineering field.
• Confident user of either Solid works 3D and/or AutoCAD 2D.
• Ability to work efficiently under strict deadlines.
• Clean driving license (some points acceptable).
• Full Right To Work in the UK – this role does not offer sponsorship support.
