Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Mechanical Supervisor to oversee mechanical operations for a new build energy centre project in the Knutsford area. This significant two-year project will commence in September 2024 with the ideal candidate having a solid background in managing sizable projects, particularly within the energy or plant room sectors, and experience working with Tier 1 contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the activities of mechanical contractors and subcontractors on-site.
Ensure all mechanical works are carried out in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
Monitor progress and performance of the mechanical team, ensuring project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to maintain high standards of workmanship.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve any technical issues and ensure smooth project execution.
Prepare and maintain detailed reports on project status, including daily logs, progress reports, and inspection records.
Implement and enforce health and safety policies, conducting risk assessments and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Provide training and guidance to junior staff and new team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience:

Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor on large-scale projects, ideally within the energy or plant room sectors.
Previous experience working with Tier 1 contractors is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, installation processes, and industry regulations.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising with various stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Proficiency in using project management and reporting tools.
