A global manufacturer of high technology, electro-mechanical products are currently recruiting a Supply Chain Planner to work at their site in Fareham.

This opportunity sits within a specialised Supply Chain Team of five. The key focus is manage the product supply from key internal and external suppliers ensuring finished product availability globally through use of forecast demand, safety stock and target stock levels.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Relationship management of key suppliers for continuous material supply.
  • Timely placement of purchase orders, circulation of detailed forecasts, negotiation and agreement of committed delivery schedules.
  • Develop plans and hold weekly supplier review meeting for material production requirements
  • Expedite, reschedule, and cancel purchase order quantities with key suppliers to achieve business inventory targets
  • Measure key suppliers to maintain or improve supplier delivery performance.
  • Maintain accuracy of all associated SAP planning parameters and delivery schedule data in MRP system (SAP).

The ideal person for this position will have Supply Chain planning experience gained within a manufacturing, retail or distribution environment. Strong analytical skills are essential for this role as is excellent supplier management experience. Prior use of SAP or other ERP/MRP experience is highly desirable.  

The position is based on site 4 days a week with an option for 1 day a week remote. The benefits include Annual Bonus, 25 days holiday, private healthcare, electric car scheme, life assurance and company pension up to 9%.
