Functional Skills Tutor

We are searching for a passionate Maths Tutor to join a well established and passionate training provider based in Newcastle Under Lyme, Staffordshire.
This role is performed over 4 & 1/2 days, Monday to Thursday in the centre teaching, and then working from home on a Friday and finishing at 12.00pm. This provider offers fantastic support and career progression. This role can be made term time only if required
This role is to engage, deliver to and develop small cohorts of learners teaching from entry level maths to GCSE level. The class sizes are between 5-10 students. Working closely with the management team and fellow tutors you will strive from excellence and work closely with a team of TA's to ensure all students are fully supported.
Key responsibilities and experience required
- Experience delivering Functional Skills / GCSE / Entry Level Maths to students
- Teaching qualification
- Confident in delivering and developing training material
- Strong organisational skills
- Experience teaching SEN Students would be an advantage
- Must hold minimum of Level 3 Maths
- An empathy and understanding towards learners who are at a disadvantage
- Strong team player
