Job Title; Accounts and Tax Senior

Salary; £25,000 to £35,000 per annum plus excellent benefits

Our client are a leading provider of professional services including accountancy and auditing, tax planning, funding and asset finance to a range of businesses throughout the UK. Due to continued, planned growth they are seeking to appoint an Accounts and Tax Senior to their Leicester office.

Accounts and Tax Senior Role;

• Produce an account working file.
• Clear arising queries with clients and produce a list of discussion points for the senior managers or partners
• Liaise with HMRC, including compliance checks
• Work within a budget agreed at the planning stage.
• Produce draft tax computations (for companies) and a provision for inclusion in the accounts.
• Inclusion of statutory disclosures in line with the company checklist.
• Plan and control professional work for the firm's clients within the firm's standard procedures and identify basic planning opportunities.
• Attend training and seminars to further develop and maintain technical and personal development skills.
• Attend training to further develop and maintain technical skills and if not yet attained to work towards a professional qualification.
• Professionally represent the firm and its interests in dealings with clients and other professionals.
• Contribute to tax advisory projects.
• Ensure that the firm’s standard processes are used in the production of compliance tax work and ensuring that technical standards are maintained.
• Seek opportunities to increase client billings and to seek new clients for the practice where possible.

Accounts and Tax Senior Candidate;

• Previous recent experience ideally within practice
• Either ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified, however part qualified would be considered
• Previous mixed tax experience gained in a practice environment
• Knowledge of Iris and Xero preferred, but not essential
• Experience of using cloud-based accountancy software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Good organisation and time management skills
