Graduate Advisor

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Student Experience & Engagement Department as a Graduate Advisor on a fixed term (until July 2025), full time (35 hours per week) basis.
As Graduate Advisor you will provide first-level information, advice, and guidance to target school/college pupils /students, teachers and parents in relation to the benefits of Higher Education, giving presentations at events within local schools and colleges.
To support target students in schools and colleges to raise and increase their awareness of, and readiness for, Higher Education and to be a role model for students in the area, advocating the benefits of Higher Education.
To liaise with staff in target schools and colleges to increase their engagement in, and awareness of, the Greater Manchester Higher programme.
In order to do this, you will need:
- Higher Education qualification (such as a degree, HND or Foundation Degree)
- Knowledge of the routes into Higher Education
- Experience of providing advice and guidance to school or college pupils
- Experience of dealing with confidential and sensitive information
- Experience of working with and making presentations to young people
- Experience of dealing with a wide range of enquiries and requests from within an organisation and outside
