Programme Leader - Counselling

UCEN Manchester have an exciting opportunity at our Shena Simon Campus to join our Counselling Health & Social Sciences departement as a Programme Leader in Counselling on a permanent, full time (35 hours per week) basis.
As one of a number of Programme Leaders within your area, you will report to the Director of Curriculum or Head of Department and be responsible for the effective running of one or more Curriculum Programmes. You will be required to plan, organise, deliver and promote high quality, student focused teaching and learning. You will be required to co-ordinate and monitor the planning of learning, academic practice, and internal and external standards to ensure delivery of an outstanding quality focused education. You will work with the Director of Curriculum or Head of Department to ensure the effective management and deployment of resources is in line with budget allocations. Your role will include the collection, analysis and reporting of data.
In order to do this, you will need:
- Experience in teaching on SEG level 4 Counselling programmes
- Experience in teaching HE programmes in Counselling and relevant sector skills
- Degree
- Current and valid industry specialism
- Certificate of education or PGCE
- English and maths minimum level 2 Grace C or grade 4 and above
- Proven track record of effective teaching in delivering in subject specialism or current valid industry specialism
- Minimum of 3 years' teaching experience or minimum of 3 years current valid industry specialism
- Minimum of 3 years' experience of leading a team
- Proven experience of working as a team
- Proven track record of achieving delivery targets and plans
- Accurate and timely reports and records
- Positive contribution to planning & development processes
- High quality positive learner satisfaction
