About the Role:

As a Class 1 driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods from our depot in Kent to various destinations in the Midlands. You will operate modern, well-maintained vehicles and ensure the safe and timely delivery of cargo.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate Class 1 vehicles in compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.  
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the roadworthiness of the vehicle.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling procedures are followed.
• Plan routes and navigate efficiently to optimize delivery times.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logbooks and delivery documents.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to provide updates on delivery status.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) driving license.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Class 1 driver.
• Clean driving record with no major violations.
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate reliability and punctuality.
• Good communication skills and customer service orientation.
